We are linguists

We will give children the confidence to explore a language and culture in order to discover an acceptance and tolerance for their peers. They will delve into the art of language skills to prepare children for their next stage in education.

Children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 learn Spanish. We teach the full National Curriculum for languages. We use Language Angels for our skills and content. 

Aims

To develop the ability to speak in a Modern Foreign Language.

To gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in a foreign language.

To learn about the cultural aspects of Spain and other countries where the target language is spoken.

We aim to give children an insight into language learning and different cultures through language lessons and culture days. Children are given the opportunity to listen to songs, stories and native speakers.  Through the use of games and other activities children are able to experience talking which will enhance their knowledge and understanding of vocabulary.
